When delivering physical sessions, it’s easy to share slides with attendees. They can come to you, and you can share slides with them, you can point them to your web channels, or you can talk with them and tell them you cannot share the slides.

During virtual sessions, sometimes it’s not easy, especially if you’re doing structured events with limited interactions. One solution that I decided to use is to publish the slides in advance (generally on SlideShare, with some tips to do it effectively) and include the link in the last slide:

I usually don’t care about keeping the slides private during the presentation, but I don’t share them in advance in the first slide because I don’t want to spend too much time on it.

In the past, I used to say “Follow me on Twitter and LinkedIn, and I’ll post the slides there”, but then I thought that not everybody is interested in connecting with me, so I decided to include the link directly in the slides, and it worked, I received pretty good feedback.
