This morning I followed the second day of a great public speaking training from Quadrifor, hosted by a Scuola Holden teacher.
At some point in the morning, the topic was about body language, paraverbal and words. The speaker didn’t show the classic Mehrabian “7%-38%-55% rule”, but he discussed some implications of the rule, in particular the fact that body language and paraverbal are as important as the words that are used to convey the message.
I completely agree with the point. You need to work on body language and non-verbal communication, BUT you should work A LOT on the words that you plan to use.
